Welcome to my Breckenridge – Frisco Area Community Insider! I hope my clients had a wonderful Easter and a great start to spring! Are you looking for fun activities to do with your family during spring break? There are still restrictions in our local area due to COVID but things are continuing to open up more. There is always outdoor dining and now more available space indoors at our local restaurants! Or give skiing on the slopes, or Copper’s uphill race series a chance this month . Take a read and I hope that you can make it to some of these local events I’ve mentioned in my Breckenridge-Frisco Area April Community Insider.

Copper’s Uphill Race Series

This is a three part series of uphill races sponsored by Mammut. Copper joins forces with Swiss premium outdoor brand Mammut.  Participates in these races have a two and a half hour window to complete each of their three timed races. It starts at 6 am and you need to check in prior to competing. Below is the three day race and starts times listed out for you! You need to register prior to race day. Covid & Vaccine Update- Breckenridge-Frisco Area April Community Insider

On March 26th at the City Council meeting, a decision was made to loosen up restrictions affecting our local restaurants. Restaurants are now able to open at full capacity as long as they can maintain a distance of 6 feet between separate parties. This really means that few restaurants are operating at “full capacity”, but it’s an encouraging sign. This is exciting that we are seeing some small improvements even though our county is still in the yellow and some blue levels. We are moving in the right direction!

It has also been announced that starting April 2nd, anyone over the age of 16 is eligible to receive the vaccine. The hope is that this will also further allow businesses and events to resume as normal. We may get lucky and get to enjoy some of our favorite summertime activities again. What are some that you missed out on last year and are excited to attend?

Young Writer’s Club

Has this past year been hard on your children with not being able to attend their normal school and activities with friends? There is a weekly young writer’s club that is available to them to join every week via zoom. If you have a child between the ages of 10 and 14 who has an interest in creative writing, click here to get them signed up! This event is held every Tuesday in April!
