The numbers for March are in, and I’ve had the opportunity to compare the figures with the preceding month and year-to-year. We’re starting to see a small shift, and it’s pretty interesting.
It’s a small shift from last month, but when compared to the previous year, you can see that the Year-to-Year percentages are still impressive, being 27% to 36%!. Another area where I’m seeing a change is in the inventory levels, which are up slightly,
As we head through April and into May, we’ll have a better idea if we can expect inventory to continue to rise going into the summer months. Just as importantly, we’ll start to get a feel for whether that inventory will remain on the market a bit longer before being sold, making it a bit easier on buyers.
If you look at the sales figures over the past several months, you’ll notice that the Total Volume has bounced around a bit, but is averaging a staggering $1,866,415,988 for the previous twelve-month period. The number of Single Family Homes Sold overall has remained consistent in most areas, and I’d anticipate that this situation will continue in the coming months, in spite of the recent interest rate increases.
